"Good Faerie / Bad Faerie, this year is not only the theme of Elfia, but also in the Facepaint in Progress tent. Elves are natural spirits with supernatural powers. They have great wisdom which they love to use helping people. Elves mostly live in forests, flowers, rivers and wells, but sometimes also undergrounds. They worked on building and maintaining the earth.
Although Elves are nowadays mainly seen as helpful, supernatural beings, it has not always been like this in the past. For centuries, Elves also had a dark side. Over the course of time, the dark side disappeared, but here in Elfia we can still see both sides.
We see both "good faeries" and "bad faeries". In Bodypaint Valley you are taken to the world of "change"; Do you see a "Good Faerie" or a "Bad Faerie"? At noon, on our stage you can see a beautiful live act of such artwork in combination with bodypaints and spectucular light effects. Also in the evening there is a show, which will be more extensive with several bodypaints.
Of course you can always let your face or torso be painted (paid). If you, lovely lady, are pregnant, this is the chance to let your belly be painted by one of our great painters.
